Fin-Nor is staying in perfect step with the continued popularity of braided line in saltwater by building a powerful new little lever drag reel called Primal™. Primal is wrapped in a lightweight, ergonomically friendly corrosion protected MegaShield™ aluminum frame, and anchored with internal toughness by a super strong sealed MegaDrag™ that achieves 15-pounds at ‘strike’ and up to 30 pounds of maximum drag with ultra smooth performance. Primal’s gears are made of heavy duty stainless to handle high loading easily, and a durable MegaLock™ anti-reverse offers extreme stopping power with a pawl-and-ratchet back-up clutch for added confidence in helping you land huge fish with this small but mighty reel. A total of four models are available in this little braid-friendly winch, including a size 10 and a size 12 with a low-speed 5.8:1 for powering-up snapper and grouper, plus a 7.3:1 gear that picks up 45-inches of line per turn of the handle for keeping up with torpedoes like kingfish and wahoo.
